Does anyone know how a person can stop complaining?

i am a complainer i would like to stop but can't seem to stop. i have had a lot of things happen in my life to disappoint me and to discourage me. i feel that this is why i complain so much and i don't have very much cooperation around here from husband and children. i know everyone says stop complaining and they will cooperate more but remember i CAN"T
