What kind of animal should I get?

I have always wanted to get another cat but now i am moving in with my bro and his dog can not handle cats so thats out of the question unless its like a big defensive cat. I already have a mini aussie I would really like to have an animal I could have on normal house property it would be nice to have it come on camping trips and junk but I dont know if I want another dog or not what should I get? I am getting another animal because I have to sell my horse and I just love animals I use to have 2 sugar gliders a guinea pig birds cat dogs and horses but now im down to one dog
