What to do about a BOSSZILLA?

My boss is a total nightmare. The problem is- I live in the #1 unemployed state- Michigan and I have been on the job hunt since I started there. I have worked there for 8 months. I feel like she is sucking the life out of me with her insults and condescending tone of voice. She orders me around like a slave and the pay is bad. I am at her whims, because I need the money! What can I do?
