Eminent domain/foreclosures nationwide is there a connection?

Foreclosures remind me of 25 years ago when I drove through a subdivision and saw house after house standing wide open after the owners "walked the note." I'm not sure why you'd be worried about eminent domain. To my knowlege, that is a government option that is done for right of way issues and condemnations.
