Get a refund from personals?

on saturday i subscribed to yahoo personals. shortly afterward, i thought i made a mistake with the service, so i wanted to cancel, but was told i couldn't get a refund once i subscribed. today, the 11th, i made the decision to cancel officially, but in doing so i was told that i would've gotten a refund if i cancelled within 72 hours of joining. when i typed my question in on the help page on saturday, i was not told that at all. now i feel totally screwed. i signed up for the 29.99 membership. this is money--i just feel upset. is there any way i can get my money back?
