Would this device seem worthwhile to you?

yes, it sounds like a great device, it reminds me of a science fiction book i read i belive it was isacc asimov the inhabitants of that city had portals thru wich they could step into any other location in the city they wanted instantly. i rather like the idea.good luck!-blurey
