Anxiety about french oral exam. relaxation techniques?
Before your exam start on deep breathing. sit in a comfortable chair or even lie down on your bed and take a deep breath in counting slowly to four then hold for a little while, start breathing out with pursed lips to the count of 8. Slowly. Increase the breathing out to the count of 10.12..... You can also do this standing up, later. It may relax you until you may want to fall asleep that is why the chair or the bed is your fist choice. While breathing in your abdomen should expand , while breathing out the abdomen should deflate. In time you will be able to do this before you start your exam and during exam. Seeing yourself successfully doing this presentation ,you may practice it before your mirror, if your teacher is scary, you need not look directly at him, fix your gaze next to him or aim it behind him, until you are more comfortable with your delivery.
